New Leaf World Mission: Our Calling
God is calling us into something deeper, beyond our own dreams and comforts, into a life poured out in love for others.
Through New Leaf World Mission, we’re stepping into a new chapter filled with faith, hope, and a deep desire to see lives transformed by Jesus in Tete, Mozambique. We feel drawn to people who are often overlooked, the addicted, the imprisoned, the hungry, the unheard, and we want to walk with them, not just in words, but in presence, relationship, and action.
We'll sit with those battling addiction. We’ll share the name and love of Jesus with those who’ve never heard it. We'll welcome children who’ve been abandoned and remind them that they are seen, known, and dearly loved.
We'll offer doula care to five moms at a time, walking closely with each one, praying with them, supporting them through birth, and discipling them into motherhood with dignity and grace.
We'll begin a jail ministry, entering the prison walls with no agenda but love, to listen, to encourage, and to bring the freedom only Jesus can give.
Each week, we’ll host a community meal where we’ll serve food, teach English, and share the Gospel in simple, tangible ways. We believe that by breaking bread together, walls will come down and hearts will open.
Everything we do will be led by the Holy Spirit and rooted in the heart behind 1 Thessalonians 2:8:
“Because you had become so dear to us, we were delighted to share with you not only the gospel of God but our lives as well.”
And down the road, we dream of building a disciple-based orphanage, a home where children will be raised not just with safety and care, but with the truth of who they are in Christ, and the calling He has on their lives.
We’re going in faith, with open hands and expectant hearts, trusting that God will do what only He can do—bringing light into darkness.
