Our Story

Michael-

When I was a young boy, a family trip to Africa planted a seed in my heart for the place and people. For 33 years, I didn’t understand this great desire in me to be there, but during that time, I experienced some of life’s highest highs and lowest lows. But God found me in my dark and terrible place, and took me from the depths of despair to the heights of success, only to realize that worldly achievements weren’t what my heart truly wanted. Along the way, He brought me my wife Danyelle, and together we have four wonderful children.

Fast forward to 2024 we are running a successful small tree business, just living the American dream, but knowing we were missing something. One Sunday my church shared about the up coming mission trips and my spirit jumped within me to go. All moneys paid, all preparations made, then the day before we were to leave, the pressures of life and business were so heavy that I almost canceled the trip. How many times have we unknowingly canceled on what God was calling us to do? But my pastor spoke a word to me that changed my perspective  “When we're obedient, God always seems to have a way of working things out”. All the while, My wife, with her strong gifting of faith, encouraged me to go because she knew I needed to. I obeyed God and went.

Danyelle-

From a young age, mission work has always stirred my heart—I dreamed of going and serving. That dream became reality in 2016 when I went on my first mission trip to Haiti. While there, something in me awakened. Cooking alongside the women, caring for the children—it filled me with a joy I had never known. I didn’t want to leave. But in the years that followed, I drifted from God, lost in darkness. Yet, by His grace, He redeemed me, rescuing me from myself. He blessed me with an incredible husband and four beautiful children.

I was living the dream as a homesteading homemaker, passionate about baking. And yet, something still felt missing—a deep, unshakable longing for more. We were searching, but I couldn’t quite grasp what it was we were missing. When my husband traveled to El Salvador, I sensed that something life-changing was on the other side for us. My heart was filled with joy when he called, you can hear the excitement in his voice over what God had revealed to him. Without hesitation, we began praying fervently, seeking His direction—where was He leading us, and when?

One day, during prayer, I heard God speak clearly: "The time is NOW." That very night, I had a powerful dream—I was surrounded by African women, their hands upon me, their voices rising in prayer as I prepared to speak at a women's conference in Africa. I woke up with a fire in my spirit, a deep, undeniable knowing that God was calling us to move. The time for hesitation was over. It was time to step into His purpose and begin the work He had set before us.

Briella-

Hi, I'm Briella! I'm 7 years old! Last summer I went to El Salvador and I felt God's joy on me. While there I knew God was telling me I would be a missionary. I loved being able to minister to the kids and share Jesus with them. I learned a lot of new dances while teaching them about God. I felt so happy there. I'm so excited for Africa. I'm gonna teach them how much Jesus loves them and be their best friend. I want to see everyone in Heaven worshipping Jesus!
